If a dispute arises regarding the payment of rent, the landlord&#8217;s lawful remedy is to file a claim before the competent court based on the tenancy agreement and seek eviction for non-payment of rent. This is particularly important where the interruption of electricity is linked to delayed rent payments, as such action may cause significant hardship to family members, including children, women, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. A tenant should not be deprived of essential services or punished for circumstances that have not been determined through proper legal procedures.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A property owner is not legally entitled to disconnect electricity supplied to a tenant, as such conduct may constitute an unlawful and abusive practice. Any disconnection must only take place in accordance with a formal decision issued by the competent judicial authority after the appropriate legal procedures have been followed.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A complaint may be submitted through the electricity provider&#8217;s official website or by contacting the provider directly through its designated customer service channels.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The electricity provider may investigate the complaint and, where appropriate, refer the matter to the competent regulatory authority responsible for the regulation of electricity and water services.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the terms of the tenancy agreement, the tenant may be responsible for paying electricity charges in addition to the agreed rent.
